Chicago Fire FC announced the launch of the Fourth of July Commemorative Jersey Auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Chicago Fire Foundation’s P.L.A.Y.S. (Participate, Learn, Achieve, Youth, Soccer) Program, presented by Meridian. The jerseys feature limited-edition numbers on the back in honor of Independence Day and will be worn by Fire players during their July 3 match against the Philadelphia Union. These jerseys will be autographed post-match.
The auction opened Monday at 12:00 p.m. CT and will close at halftime during the July 3 match. The commemorative jerseys pay homage to United States heritage with a star pattern reflecting red, white, and blue in both name and numbering while blending seamlessly with Chicago Fire's signature Return to Red look for the country's 248th birthday.
All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Chicago Fire Foundation to support its ongoing work in Chicagoland and specifically its P.L.A.Y.S. Program. This program enhances academic performance and develops key social and emotional skills among elementary school students through a sports-based curriculum, serving more than 1,200 youth annually.
The auction features jerseys from all First Team players. Fans can place bids at jersey.givesmart.com or by texting “jersey” to 76278. Additionally, fans can visit the Chicago Fire Foundation’s table located at Section 138 near the Midway Club during the July 3 match for assistance in bidding. Payments will be processed online or on-site.
Winning bidders present at the match will have their jersey signed in-person by the corresponding player after the game; those unable to attend will receive their autographed jersey by mail.
