The Cook County Board of Review is now open for property tax appeals for the year 2024. Property owners may file an appeal with the Board either online or by mail. Detailed instructions on how to file can be found at www.cookcountyboardofreview.com.

In a clarification to a previous notice, the Board has officially opened its 2024 session. Property owners have the option to pre-file an appeal now or wait until their property's value has been finalized by the Assessor. Once finalized, property owners will be notified when their township's 30-day appeal period begins.

The initial group of townships opening for appeals includes Riverside, River Forest, Norwood Park, Rogers Park, and Evanston. This group will open on July 22nd, 2024, and close on August 20th, 2024. The remaining townships will open for assessment appeals as certified values are received from the Assessor.
