On July 25, 2024, the U.S. Secret Service and its public safety partners will hold a news conference to release the comprehensive public safety map and other security measures for the 2024 Democratic National Convention, scheduled for August 19-22 in Chicago.

U.S. Secret Service Democratic National Convention Coordinator Jeff Burnside will be joined by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling, FBI Chicago Acting Special Agent in Charge Lucas Rothaar, Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications Executive Director Jose Tirado, and other officials to outline the plans.

The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the U.S. Secret Service’s Chicago Field Office located at 525 W. Van Buren St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60607.

Media attending the event are asked to complete an RSVP form by 5 p.m. on Monday, July 22. Confirmation and further arrival instructions will be sent via email. The press conference will also be livestreamed by the Chicago Mayor’s Office and the Illinois Governor’s Office for those unable to attend.
