The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) will accept the award for Favorite Airport Dining from Trazee Travel at the 10th annual Trazees Awards this evening in Nashville, Tenn., CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee announced today. This marks the fifth consecutive year the airport has earned top honors in this category.

“This Trazee Travel award reaffirms O’Hare's commitment to providing a first-class experience for busy travelers,” said CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee. “We are honored that Trazee’s readers recognize the exceptional culinary options and amenities that O’Hare offers to travelers of all ages, reflecting the world-class standards of our city.”

The Trazees are voted on annually by the publication’s readers in various categories. Trazee Travel, which targets readers ages 25-40, is the sister publication of Global Traveler magazine.

In addition to winning Trazee Travel’s Favorite Airport Dining category, O’Hare has received other travel industry awards and honors over the past year, including:

- Best Airport in North America by Global Traveler

- OAG Megahubs 2023 Index top ranking for US Domestic Megahub flight connectivity

- The Capital Award (Terminal 5 Extension) by the American Institute of Architects

Along with the awards, O’Hare has been bustling with developments this year, such as the opening of various culinary and retail concessions, groundbreaking for the $300 million ElevateT3 renovation project at Terminal 3, and unveiling architectural renderings for the future Satellite Concourse 1.

Terminal 5, in particular, has been a hub for culinary and retail concession openings as it welcomed acclaimed local establishments Bar Siena and The Hampton Social earlier this year.
