CHICAGO (Aug. 29, 2024) - Chicago Fire FC II announced today that winger Omari Glasgow has been called to represent the Guyana Men’s National Team in the opening matchdays of the CONCACAF Nations League from Sept. 5-9, 2024. Glasgow and Guyana will begin their competition with matches against Suriname and Martinique.

The Golden Jaguars will start their campaign against Suriname on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 3 p.m. CT at the Synthetic Track and Field Facility in Leonora, Guyana. Four days later, they will face Martinique on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Pierre-Aliker Municipal Stadium in Fort-du-France, Martinique, with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.

Glasgow, aged 20, has been a regular presence for the Golden Jaguars since his debut in 2019. He currently has 16 all-time goals for Guyana and needs two more to tie Nigel Codrington for the most goals in national team history.

At the club level, Glasgow has scored three goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances (all starts) this season for Chicago Fire FC II. On July 14 against NYCFC II, he became the second player in Chicago Fire FC II history to record 50 appearances with Chicago’s MLS NEXT Pro side.

Earlier this season, Glasgow made his MLS debut on May 4 against the New England Revolution at Soldier Field. With his appearance off the bench, he became the first MLS NEXT Pro-contracted player to feature in a First Team contest with the Chicago Fire.
