Chicago Fire FC secured a 2-1 victory against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night at Soldier Field. This win concludes a three-game homestand for Chicago and positions the team within four points of the playoff line.

Tom Barlow scored his first goal of the season in the 31st minute, becoming the sixth MLS player this season to score his first goal against his former club. New York equalized in the 47th minute with a goal from second-half substitute Dennis Gjengaar.
