Chicago Fire FC and Toronto FC played to a 1-1 draw at SeatGeek Stadium on Saturday night. With this result, Chicago Fire FC has been eliminated from playoff contention with two matches remaining in the regular season.

Toronto took the lead in first-half stoppage time after a video review awarded them a penalty kick. Prince Owusu converted the penalty by sending it into the lower right corner.

Chicago equalized in the 84th minute when Ariel Lassiter sent a ball across the goalmouth. Jonathan Dean connected with it at the far post, scoring his first career MLS goal.

"Justin Reynolds recorded his first career MLS start on Saturday night," noted team officials. "The South Loop, Chicago native recorded 75 minutes of action in his sixth appearance as a member of the Men in Red."

Jonathan Dean entered the match for Reynolds and scored his first MLS goal ten minutes later. Ariel Lassiter's assist was his eighth of the season and his first since joining Chicago Fire.

Chris Brady started in his single-season record 31st regular season match, tying former Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson for third-most appearances by a netminder in a single season. Brady also set a new single-season record with 99 saves.

Kellyn Acosta tied his single-season career high with 32 games played, matching records from previous seasons with other teams.

Several players were unavailable for this match due to injuries or personal reasons, including defenders Chase Gasper, Andrew Gutman, Carlos Terán, and winger Maren Haile-Selassie.

Chicago will next face Charlotte FC on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Bank of America Stadium. The game will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and locally on WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish) and wlsam.com (English).

Attendance for Saturday's match was reported at 16,097.
