NFL Hall of Fame Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has officially endorsed presidential candidate Donald Trump, calling him the only leader capable of tackling the nation's pressing issues, particularly inflation and border security.

“I've made a lot of big hits in my career, but there's only one man who can tackle the problems facing our nation,” Urlacher said in a video shared in a Sept. 29 social media post by the Citizen Free Press. “President Trump will tackle inflation and will make America affordable again. He will slash your taxes, and remember, a vote for Trump is a vote for no tax on tips. He will protect our border and stop dangerous drugs like fentanyl from entering our communities. But most importantly, he will put Americans like you above everyone else. So please join me in supporting President Trump. America needs him now more than ever.”

President Trump responded to the endorsement on Truth Social saying, “Thank you, Brian—MAGA2024.”

According to data released by the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee (JEC), Illinois families spent an average of $1,100 more for goods and services – including transportation, shelter costs, energy, and food – in August 2024 than they were spending prior to the beginning of the Biden-Harris Administration.

Per the analysis, the average Illinois household has spent a cumulative $30,683 more since January of 2021 than if pre-2021 trends under the Trump administration had continued.

The State Inflation Tracker reveals that with regard to transportation costs, the average Illinois household currently spends $320 more per month than in January 2021, with a cumulative spending increase of $11,204 since January 2021 due to inflation.

With regard to shelter costs, the average Illinois household currently spends $240 more per month than in January 2021, with a cumulative spending increase of $4,876 since January 2021 due to inflation.

In terms of energy costs, the average Illinois household currently spends $127 more per month than in January 2021, with a cumulative spending increase of $5,076 since January 2021 due to inflation.

Food costs are similarly inflated, and as a result, the average Illinois household currently spends $169 more per month than in January 2021, with a cumulative spending increase of $4,625 since January 2021 due to inflation.

Harris has recently come out with a tax plan to remove taxes from tips for workers in the service industry, however, former President Donald Trump has been promoting the idea as a part of his campaign for the past several months.

In February of 2023, the Biden Administration released a proposal “to crack down on the service industry’s reporting of tips," reported Fox News, which proves that Harris' administration is historically against removing taxation from tips, using the IRS to move in the opposite direction.

During fiscal year 2024 to date, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has arrested 45,402 illegal aliens who have previous criminal convictions or who are wanted by law enforcement, according to CBP Data.

Nationwide, almost 2.6 million illegal aliens have been encountered by CBP in Fiscal Year 2024, according to the data. There were only 646,822 illegal alien encounters in Fiscal Year 2020, before the Biden-Harris Administration took office.

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed by President Joe Biden on March 24, 2021 “to lead efforts to stamp migration across the U.S.-Mexico border.”

Since Harris’ appointment, the “surge” of illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, particularly the Southwest portion of the U.S., has grown worse.

Brian Urlacher is a former professional football player who played as a linebacker for the Chicago Bears in the NFL from 2000 to 2012. During his 13-year career with the Bears, he was an eight-time Pro Bowler, a four-time First-Team All-Pro, and the 2005 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
