Chicago Fire FC has announced that three of its players have been selected to join their respective national teams during the FIFA international match window in October. Forward Georgios Koutsias, winger Ariel Lassiter, and midfielder Sergio Oregel Jr. will represent Greece U-21, Costa Rica, and the U.S. U-20 Men's Youth National Team respectively.

Koutsias returns to the Greece U-21 National Team after participating in a UEFA EURO U-21 qualifying match against the Faroe Islands in September, where he scored one of the four goals in a 4-0 victory. Greece is set to play Croatia on October 15 at Gradski Stadion Ivan Kušek Apaš in Koprivnica, Croatia. The team is currently second in Group G, trailing Portugal but ahead of Croatia, Faroe Islands, Belarus, and Andorra.

Lassiter will join Costa Rica for their Concacaf Nations League matches. They are scheduled to face Suriname on October 11 at Flora Stadium in Paramaribo and will host Guatemala on October 15 at Estadio Nacional in San Jose. Lassiter contributed to Costa Rica's 3-0 win against Guadeloupe by scoring the second goal.

Oregel Jr., under head coach Marko Mitrović, will attend an international training camp with the U.S. U-20 Men's Youth National Team from October 7-15 in Santiago, Chile. The team will engage in friendly matches on October 12 and 15 as part of preparations for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Oregel Jr. is among six players who have participated in all four training camps for those born in 2005 this year.

The Chicago Fire will conclude their MLS regular season against Nashville SC on October 19 at Soldier Field. The game will be available globally via MLS Season Pass and locally broadcasted on WLS 890 AM (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).
