The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has announced updates on traffic disruptions due to the resurfacing work on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive. The affected area stretches between LaSalle Drive and Hollywood Avenue. Starting Monday evening, October 21, temporary overnight lane closures will occur for pavement marking activities, depending on weather conditions.

From Monday, October 21 through Thursday, October 24, southbound lanes of DLSD will be reduced to one lane from Irving Park Road to LaSalle Drive beginning at 7:00 p.m. each night. Additionally, both northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to three lanes between Hollywood Avenue and Lawrence Avenue during the same hours. All ramps will remain open with all lanes reopening by 6:00 a.m. the following morning.

CDOT advises drivers to plan their travel accordingly and allow extra time when passing through these areas. Drivers are also reminded to pay attention to flaggers and construction signs in work zones, adhere to posted speed limits, and remain vigilant for workers and equipment.

Further updates on lane closures will be communicated as the project progresses. For ongoing information about traffic impacts related to this project, visit chicago.gov/CDOT.
