Chicago Fire Academy achieved a 9-0-1 record in MLS NEXT matches over the weekend. The younger teams traveled to Indiana for games against Hoosier Premier and Indy Eleven, while the older squads played Michigan Jaguars and Midwest United in Michigan.
On Saturday, the U-13 team won 7-0 against Hoosier Premier with Griffin Brill scoring four goals. Robert Vlad, Ben Leone, and Gavin Hersh also scored. On Sunday, they secured a 3-0 victory over Indy Eleven with Brill scoring again alongside Leandre Beckford and Oleksandr Smetana.
The U-14s defeated Hoosier Premier 2-1 on Saturday, led by Markas Steponavicius and Jensyn Goranson. They continued their success on Sunday with a win against Indy Eleven; Graham Dixon scored twice while Steponavicius and Goranson added one goal each.
The U-15 team started their weekend with a 5-0 victory over Hoosier Premier. Deandre Beckford scored from Finn McCraney's pass, Henry Garcia netted twice assisted by Brady Hauser and Ivan Garcia, McCraney added another goal assisted by Caleb Aleman, and Ben Miller completed the scoreline. On Sunday, they triumphed 8-0 against Indy Eleven with goals from George Valenti (Beckford), Collin Munguia (McCraney), McCraney (Munguia), while Henry Garcia achieved a hat trick assisted by Valenti, Phillip Lang, and Munguia.
At the U-16 level, Darris Hyte opened scoring before Robert Turdean scored four times in a 5-1 win over Michigan Jaguars on Saturday. On Sunday, they won 2-0 against Midwest United with goals from Akiva Lieberman (Leon Smars) and Christopher Morales.
The U-18 squad claimed a 2-0 victory against Michigan Jaguars on Saturday thanks to Christopher Cupps and Michael Sarna's goals. On Sunday, Matthew Maciulis scored in their only draw of the weekend at 1-1 with Midwest United.
Looking ahead to next weekend's fixtures: Chicago will face Minnesota United on Saturday across various age groups starting at different times throughout the day. On Sunday they'll meet Michigan Jaguars for younger teams while older ones compete against Vardar SC—all matches held at Endeavor Health Performance Center.
