Chicago Fire FC and U.S. Soccer have announced that two players from the Chicago Fire Academy, defender Hugo Berg and midfielder Roko Pehar, have been selected for the U.S. U-16 Men's Youth National Team's upcoming training camp. The camp is scheduled to take place from November 10 to 19 in Toluca, Mexico, where the team will play against Mexico on November 15 and November 18.

This marks the second call-up for both Berg and Pehar under head coach Alex Aldaz. They previously participated in a domestic training camp with the U-16 USMYNT in Fayetteville, Georgia, this past September.

Hugo Berg has had an active year; he took part in the Vlatko Markovic Tournament held in Northern Croatia last May. Additionally, he was a member of the Chicago Fire Academy U-15 team that clinched victory at the 2024 U-15 MLS NEXT Cup by defeating LA Galaxy 3-1 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, in June. Roko Pehar missed out on participating in that tournament due to an injury.

The announcement was made public by Chicago Fire FC Communications via their official Twitter handle @ChicagoFire.
