Chicago Fire FC II has announced the departure of Head Coach Ludovic Taillandier. The decision comes as the club shifts its focus towards next season and long-term goals.

“As we begin to focus on next season and our long-term objectives, we felt it was the right time to make a change in leadership,” stated Chicago Fire FC II General Manager Alex Boler. He expressed gratitude for Taillandier's contributions, acknowledging his role as the first head coach of Fire II and his five-year tenure with the organization. “He is a true professional and I wish him nothing but the best for the future,” Boler added.

Taillandier has been at the helm of Chicago Fire FC II since its inaugural season in 2022. Under his leadership, the team achieved a regular season record of 28-27-25-12 over three seasons and reached the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs in both 2023 and 2024.

Before leading Chicago Fire II, Taillandier coached the Chicago Fire Academy U-19 squad to victory in the inaugural 2021 MLS NEXT Cup with a win against Solar SC. The France native joined Chicago Fire in 2019, bringing with him 18 years of experience as a head coach and technical director.
