Interim head coach Rob Webber has announced his first gameday roster for the Hounds as they prepare to face the San Diego Legion in a Monday Night Rugby match at SeatGeek Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 7 pm kickoff.

The starting forward pack sees two changes from their previous outing against the Jackals. Lucas Rumball moves into the openside flanker position, with Mac Jones relegated to the bench. Vice-captain Luke White replaces Conall Boomer at No. 8.

The front row remains consistent with Charlie Abel, Paddy Ryan, and Dylan Fawsitt forming one of Major League Rugby's most experienced lineups. George Merrick and James Scott will continue in the second row. Mason Flesch retains his spot at number six after being selected for the First XV in Week 15, joining fellow Canadian international Lucas Rumball.

On the bench, Guillermo Pujadas, Fred Apulu, and Ignacio Peculo offer front-row cover while Brad Tucker and Mac Jones add depth.

Nick McCarthy will start at scrumhalf alongside Luke Carty, who is making his season debut at flyhalf. The midfield remains unchanged with captain Billy Meakes paired with Bryce Center.

Julian Dominguez returns to the lineup after missing the Dallas match and will partner with rookie Noah Brown on the wings. Dave Kearney starts for the first time since Week 11.

Jason Higgins seeks his 43rd MLR cap from the bench, while Mark O’Keeffe returns to provide relief across positions. Adriaan Carelse also appears on the bench for the first time this season.

"Arguably the league’s two best centers go head to head on Monday Night when the Hounds and Billy Meakes host the San Diego Legion and Ma’a Nonu."

In last year's encounter between these teams, Meakes delivered an outstanding performance with significant carries and defensive plays.
