Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, has made several statements on key issues through his social media platform. His recent posts cover topics ranging from transportation funding to women's health care and political concerns.

On October 21, 2024, Quigley announced that he, alongside Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, had secured significant funding for Illinois transit. He stated: "Alongside @SenatorDurbin and @SenDuckworth, we've secured nearly $300 million for Illinois transit through the CREATE Program. This investment will enhance commuter travel by improving safety, reducing congestion, and increasing mobility across our city."

Later that day, Quigley addressed women's reproductive rights in a post highlighting an agreement with President Biden and Vice President Harris. He noted: "Access to contraception is critical to women's reproductive freedom and basic health care. @POTUS and @VP agree. With this announcement, tens of millions of women with private health insurance will now be able to obtain over-the-counter & prescription contraceptives at no cost."

On October 22, 2024, Quigley expressed concern about former President Donald Trump's political ambitions in another tweet: "Donald Trump says he will be a dictator on day one. We should take him at his word. Project 2025 would gut checks and balances to make his dream come true. #WannabeDictator"
