Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, has recently shared his thoughts on various social and political issues through a series of tweets. Quigley, who succeeded Rahm Emanuel in Congress and previously served on the Cook County Board of Commissioners, addressed topics ranging from domestic violence awareness to antisemitism and American democracy.

On October 26, 2024, Quigley highlighted the issue of intimate partner violence, stating that "Only about 20% of intimate partner violence is reported to the police." He urged people to break the stigma surrounding this issue during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and provided information for those in crisis to seek help.

The following day, October 27, he commemorated the tragic event at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh by noting that "Six years ago today, 11 Jewish people were murdered at #TreeOfLife in Pittsburgh..." He emphasized the need to combat antisemitism and strive for a safer society for all individuals.

On October 28, Quigley expressed his concerns regarding former President Donald Trump by stating "Let me be clear: Donald Trump is a #WannabeDictator and a grave threat to American democracy." He criticized Project 2025 as an initiative that could undermine democratic checks and balances.
