Mike Quigley, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, recently shared his thoughts on social media about the U.S. Marine Corps and Veterans Day. Quigley has been an active political figure since replacing Rahm Emanuel in Congress and previously served on the Cook County Board of Commissioners.

On November 10, 2024, Quigley expressed gratitude towards the U.S. Marine Corps on their anniversary, stating: "For 249 years, the U.S. Marine Corps has honorably served and protected our country with courage, dedication and excellence. Thank you for fighting for our freedoms, @USMC!"

The following day, November 11, 2024, he acknowledged Veterans Day by highlighting legislative achievements: "This Veterans Day, we honor the sacrifices made by all those who have served. In the two years after House Democrats passed the PACT Act, over a million veterans have accessed the benefits they earned. I will continue to deliver on our promise to our veterans."

Later that same day, Quigley reiterated his appreciation for veterans: "On Veterans Day, we recognize the bravery of the men and women who have fought for our country. Their dedication has protected our nation and upheld the values we cherish. To all of our nation’s veterans, thank you for your service."
