Rep. Danny K. Davis, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 7th district, has recently shared insights and updates through a series of tweets. These posts highlight his engagements with educational institutions, historical preservation efforts, and heritage projects.

On November 20, 2024, Rep. Davis expressed pride in meeting with students from Howard University to discuss the importance of education and the role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). As an alumnus of an HBCU himself, he emphasized their significance in graduating Black students. "As a graduate of an HBCU, I was proud to meet with students from Howard University to discuss the value of education and the essential role of HBCUs and PBIs in graduating Black students."

On November 21, 2024, Davis joined descendants of Julius Rosenwald and other advocates in Washington D.C., advocating for a Julius Rosenwald & Rosenwald Schools National Historical Park. This initiative aims to honor Rosenwald's contributions to the United States and Chicago by establishing a site in Chicago. "I proudly joined two great-grandsons of Julius Rosenwald and numerous advocates in DC to support our work to honor Rosenwald’s great contributions to the US and Chicago via a Julius Rosenwald & Rosenwald Schools National Historical Park, with a site in Chicago."

On November 22, 2024, Rep. Davis met with representatives from the Field Museum and Calumet Heritage Partnership. The discussion focused on their efforts to establish a Calumet National Heritage Area that spans from Pullman National Historical Park to Indiana Dunes National Park. "I happily met with representatives of the Field Museum and Calumet Heritage Partnership to learn about their amazing work to establish a Calumet National Heritage Area."
