Chicago Fire FC II announced the departure of assistant coach Patrick Nyarko due to personal reasons. Nyarko expressed gratitude for his time with the club, stating, “Fire family, due to personal reasons, I have made the difficult decision to step away from my position as assistant coach of Fire II.” He thanked Joe Mansueto and the organization for the opportunity and praised the fans for their support.

Nyarko re-joined Chicago Fire in June 2021 as an assistant coach for the Academy U-19 team, leading them to a championship victory at the MLS NEXT Cup. In 2022, he continued his role with Chicago Fire FC II in MLS NEXT Pro, guiding them to playoff appearances in both 2023 and 2024.

General Manager Alex Boler commented on Nyarko's departure: “I’d like to thank Patrick for his contributions to the Club. He has made a very positive impact on this organization, both as a player and a coach. While we’re sad to see him go, we fully support his decision and wish him the best for the future.”

Nyarko was drafted by Chicago Fire in 2008 and played eight seasons with them before joining D.C. United. Internationally, he has represented Ghana at senior level.
