On December 3, 2024, Schakowsky tweeted about a new proposed rule by the Biden Administration aimed at ending wage discrimination against workers with disabilities. She stated: "No person should be discriminated against based on their ability level." She emphasized that "all workers deserve fair wages."
On December 4, 2024, she highlighted privacy concerns related to data brokers. In her tweet, she warned that "Data brokers are tracking your location to learn your sensitive details..." She mentioned that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) deems such practices illegal.
Later on the same day, Schakowsky expressed support for transgender youth amid legal discussions by the Supreme Court regarding US v. Skrmetti. Her tweet stated: "I stand in solidarity with trans youth everywhere as SCOTUS hears arguments..." She criticized discriminatory state laws and advocated for gender-affirming care as essential healthcare.
