Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, who represents Illinois' 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared her views on various topics through a series of tweets. Ramirez has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Marie Newman and previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2018 to 2022.

On December 8, 2024, Congresswoman Ramirez expressed gratitude towards those involved in a citizenship workshop. She stated, "Thank you to the staff and volunteers at the DuPage Citizenship Workshop for helping our immigrant neighbors take their first steps toward citizenship."

Later that day, she addressed constitutional concerns regarding proposed changes to birthright citizenship by former President Trump. In her tweet, she remarked that "Ending birthright citizenship is unconstitutional." She criticized Trump's intentions as being anti-democratic and suggested that his actions could be supported by what she describes as an extreme partisan Supreme Court.

The following day on December 9, Ramirez highlighted economic disparities and corporate accountability issues. She noted that "Corporations keep getting richer while people are struggling to pay rent, health care, and afford groceries." She emphasized collaboration with progressive groups to advocate for policies aimed at holding corporations accountable.
