Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois' 3rd District, recently shared a series of tweets addressing various political issues and personal achievements. Known for her active role in the U.S. Congress since 2023 and previous service in the Illinois House of Representatives from 2018 to 2022, Ramirez has been vocal about immigration and human rights.

On December 10, 2024, Congresswoman Ramirez tweeted a direct message to Tom Homan regarding his stance on immigration policies: "Tom Homan, the next time you come to #IL03 —a district made stronger and more powerful by immigrants — you better be ready to meet the resistance. You may think Chicago needs to get out of the way of Trump's plans for mass deportation, but we plan to get ALL UP IN YOUR WAY."

Later that day, Ramirez highlighted the anniversary of an important international document with a tweet reflecting on human rights commitments: "75 years ago, our nation committed to upholding the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including: right to seek asylum freedom of non-citizens from arbitrary expulsion right to care, housing, and life-saving services We must not turn away from the promise we…"

In another tweet posted on December 10th, Ramirez announced her recent election as Vice Chair for the Congressional Progressive Caucus: "ICYMI: Last week I was unanimously elected as a Vice Chair for the Congressional Progressive Caucus in the next Congress! I'm ready to continue working alongside my @USProgressives colleagues to fight for working families."
