Chicago Fire FC has announced the mutual termination of midfielder Gastón Giménez's contract. The decision was made to allow Giménez to seek new opportunities and provide the club with more roster flexibility for the upcoming 2025 season.
“We thank Gastón for his contributions to the Fire and wish him and his family well for the future,” stated Gregg Berhalter, Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and Head Coach. "This move was made to allow Gastón to pursue a new challenge while providing the Club with greater roster flexibility as we look to strengthen the squad for the 2025 season.”
