Shriners Children's has been recognized with 12 Human Experience Awards by Press Ganey for 2024, acknowledging its achievements in patient satisfaction and clinical quality across seven locations. The awards reflect the organization's commitment to providing high-quality care and enhancing the patient experience.

Fran Farley, M.D., chief medical officer of Shriners Children’s, stated, “Providing the highest quality care and the best experience is our top priority. This includes safe, high-quality, patient and family-centered care, delivered by our engaged and resilient healthcare teams across the system. I'm very proud that Shriners Children’s received 12 Press Ganey awards and to work for an organization that prioritizes and excels in the quality, safety and experience of our patients and families.”

Press Ganey works with over 41,000 healthcare facilities nationwide to survey patients, physicians, and employees on their experiences. These surveys help determine award recipients at two levels: Pinnacle of Excellence and Guardian of Excellence.

Five Shriners Children's locations were awarded the Pinnacle of Excellence Award for maintaining consistently high standards in patient experience or clinical quality performance over consecutive years. Additionally, seven locations earned a Guardian of Excellence Award for being among the top 5% nationwide in similar metrics.

Notably, Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada received three awards. Kathleen Nightlinger, director of healthcare quality and safety at Shriners Children’s said, “Since 2002, we have partnered with Press Ganey to better understand how to measure and improve our patient and family experiences. These survey results are the groundwork for data-driven change, and they give each patient and family a voice in their overall experience at Shriners Children’s.”

- Shriners Children’s Greenville: Pinnacle & Guardian – Inpatient Pediatric

- Shriners Children’s Hawai`i: Guardian – Inpatient Pediatric
