Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois's 3rd district, has been active on social media, sharing her engagements and perspectives with constituents. Her recent tweets highlight local business support, district activities, and her stance on consumer protection.
On February 7, 2025, Congresswoman Ramirez celebrated the commencement of Black History Month by attending the grand opening of Diversey House, a Black-owned taproom in her district. She expressed her enthusiasm for supporting small businesses in her tweet, stating: "Kicking off Black History Month at the grand opening of Diversey House, a Black-owned taproom in #IL03! When I am home, I love supporting our district's small businesses!"
In another tweet posted on February 8, 2025, she reflected on her previous week spent in the district. Congresswoman Ramirez thanked her constituents for their involvement and highlighted the themes of resistance and solidarity that marked her time there. She encouraged followers to view some highlights from her week by saying: "Thank you, #IL03! Last week in the district was filled with resistance, organizing, and solidarity. Take a look at some of the highlights from my week in the district!"
Later that day on February 8th, Congresswoman Ramirez voiced concerns over attempts to diminish accountability for corporate misconduct. In a critical message aimed at prominent figures like Trump and Musk as well as House Republicans, she defended the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Her tweet read: "The billionaire & his puppet want less accountability when their businesses rip you off. That's why they hit “delete” on @CFPB. CFPB returned $21B that was stolen from YOU by corporate predators like Trump and Musk."
