Chicago Fire FC is set to face D.C. United at Soldier Field in their first home match of the 2025 MLS Regular Season. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and can be watched live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV or listened to locally in English on WLS 890 AM and in Spanish on Que Buena 105.1 FM via the Uforia App.

Gregg Berhalter, Director of Football & Head Coach, will make his debut at Soldier Field following a 2-4 loss against the Crew in Columbus last week. He aims for a win with a Starting XI that includes one change from the previous match.

Midfielder Sam Williams will make his MLS debut, replacing Brian Gutiérrez, who is suspended. Williams will join Sergio Oregel, Jr., making his second start this season, and captain Kellyn Acosta in the midfield. Chris Brady will guard the goal, marking his 65th career start and 31st at Soldier Field.

Jack Elliott and Carlos Terán will play as center backs. Elliott makes his home debut for Chicago Fire after previously playing five matches at Soldier Field with Philadelphia Union. Terán is set for his 29th start at this venue and 81st overall appearance for the team.

Jonathan Dean and Andrew Gutman continue their roles as right and left backs respectively. Jonathan Bamba, after an impressive performance against Columbus with two assists, debuts on the left wing opposite Philip Zinckernagel on the right wing. Hugo Cuypers remains at center forward.

Besides Gutiérrez, several players are unavailable due to injuries or other reasons: Leonardo Barroso, Chase Gasper, Dylan Borso, Maren Haile-Selassie, Rominigue Kouamé, David Poreba (all lower body injuries), and Chris Mueller (not due to injury). Available substitutes include Jeff Gal; defenders Sam Rogers, Omar González, Justin Reynolds, Christopher Cupps; midfielders Mauricio Pineda, Omari Glasgow, Harold Osorio; and forward Tom Barlow.
