Delia C. Ramirez, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 3rd district since 2023, has taken to social media to express her views on current political and social issues. Known for her active role in advocating for multiracial and multicultural coalitions, she continues to address matters concerning diversity, economic policies, and government accountability.
In a tweet dated March 5, 2025, Ramirez commented on former President Trump's stance on diversity initiatives: "Trump está obsesionado con atacar a DEI porque nuestra coalición unificada, multirracial y multicultural es poderosa. Él no nos dividirá." She further stated that "Trump’s obsessed with attacking DEI because our unified, multiracial, multicultural coalition is powerful. He will not divide us."
On the same day, she addressed economic disparities in another tweet: "Some of the richest men in the world are demanding TRILLIONS in cuts in the services working families rely on – Medicaid, food assistance, housing assistance. All to give TRILLIONS in tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy. It ain’t right."
Additionally, Ramirez criticized the Department of Justice with her remarks posted shortly after: "Given DOGE’s track record, a better name might be Department of Obstruction and Gross Errors."
