Mayor Brandon Johnson, in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), unveiled the 2025 lineup for Chicago's spring and summer festivals and events. The announcement highlighted the city's commitment to showcasing its arts, culture, and community spirit starting this May.

“From world-class music festivals to neighborhood celebrations, Chicago continues to be a premier destination for unforgettable experiences,” Mayor Johnson stated. He emphasized the city's dedication to offering diverse programming that attracts both residents and visitors to various parts of Chicago.

This year's lineup includes major events such as the Chicago Blues Festival from June 5-8, the Chicago Gospel Music Festival on July 12, the Chicago Air and Water Show on August 16 & 17, the Chicago Jazz Festival from August 28–31, and Taste of Chicago from September 5–7. Alongside these are local favorites like the Chicago Farmers Markets running from May through October, Millennium Park Summer Music Series between June 26 – August 7, Millennium Park Summer Film Series from July 1 – August 26, and Chicago SummerDance taking place throughout June to August.

"The amazing events and festivals organized each year by the dedicated team at DCASE truly energize Chicago every spring and summer," said DCASE Commissioner Clinée Hedspeth. She noted that these festivities uniquely bring people together in celebration of arts and culture.

Additionally, DCASE will support the Grant Park Music Festival presented by the Grant Park Orchestral Association with assistance from the Chicago Park District. This event will occur on Wednesdays, Fridays, and most Saturdays from June 11 – August 16 at Millennium Park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
