Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois’ 3rd district, has recently voiced her concerns on social media regarding the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) decision to halt comprehensive outreach programs. In a series of tweets, she highlights the potential negative impact on veterans' access to healthcare and benefits.

On March 8, 2025, Congresswoman Ramirez posted on Twitter stating, "On March 5, my office learned that the VA decided to pause all comprehensive outreach programs, endangering veterans' access to their health care and benefits. Now, @RepMarkTakano and I are demanding answers from the VA!" This tweet indicates that she is actively seeking accountability alongside Representative Mark Takano.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, Ramirez emphasized her stance by stating that there is no justification for halting the outreach program while improvements are being made. She remarked, "There is no reason the VA cannot continue its outreach program while improving how it facilitates access. The decision to pause outreach, coupled with the ongoing cuts, will only make it harder for veterans to receive their care and benefits from the VA."

Additionally, in another brief post on March 8th, she tagged @VetAffairsDems, further indicating her involvement with Democratic colleagues concerned about veteran affairs.
