Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois' 3rd district, recently shared her thoughts on housing instability and celebrated International Women's Day through a series of tweets. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, Ramirez has been vocal about issues affecting her constituents and broader national concerns.

On March 8, 2025, Ramirez expressed her concern over the current administration's decision regarding housing policies. She stated, "At a time when housing instability is at an all-time high, the Musk-Trump administration’s decision to gut HUD is a decision to push more families and children into homelessness." In this tweet, she mentioned collaborating with fellow representatives Rashida Tlaib and Jimmy Gomez to demand changes from the administration.

Later that day, Ramirez acknowledged the contributions of women leaders within her district and nationwide. She tweeted on March 8th, "Thank you to all the poderosas mujeres leading #IL03 and our nation." This message was part of her recognition of International Women's Day.

In another tweet on March 8th, Ramirez highlighted a constituent's achievements in organizing efforts for immigrant communities. She wrote, "For International Women's Day, I am proud to recognize an #IL03 constituent and powerful organizer—Eréndira 'Ere' Rendón." Through this acknowledgment, she emphasized Rendón's dedication to immigrant rights.
