On March 10, 2025, Congresswoman Ramirez celebrated Women’s History Month by acknowledging the contributions of Ukrainians in her district. She highlighted Dr. Mariya Dmytriv-Kapeniak, a family medicine doctor and peace advocate, stating: "This Women’s History Month, I want to celebrate the rich contributions of Ukrainians in #IL03 by uplifting my constituent, Dr. Mariya Dmytriv-Kapeniak. A family medicine doctor and advocate for peace, her work honors our shared humanity."
Later that day, she criticized the repurposing of the CBP One app under the Trump Administration. On March 10, 2025, she tweeted: "For so many asylum seekers, CBP One meant the only legal pathway to safety and stability. Repurposing the app for self-deportation in order to circumvent due process and the legal rights of those who migrate is deplorable." She expressed concern over what she perceives as an attempt to bypass due process for migrants.
