Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois' 3rd District, has recently made a series of statements on social media highlighting the achievements and challenges faced by Latinas and critiquing certain policies in the United States.
On March 10, 2025, Congresswoman Ramirez expressed pride in reintroducing a resolution that acknowledges the significant cultural, economic, and political contributions of Latinas within Illinois. She stated: "Latinas are making history in politics, in the private sector, and in our communities! Today, I am proud to re-introduce a resolution that recognizes the cultural, economic, and political contributions of Latinas in the State of Illinois."
In another post on the same day written in Spanish, she reiterated her sentiments about Latina achievements: "Las latinas están haciendo historia en la política, en el sector privado y en nuestras comunidades. Hoy, tuve el orgullo de reintroducir una resolución que reconoce las contribuciones culturales, económicas y políticas de las latinas en el estado de Illinois."
On March 11, 2025, Congresswoman Ramirez addressed concerns regarding policies under former President Donald Trump’s administration. She remarked: "Nope, it's not dystopian fiction. It's Trump's America. In Trump's America, federal employees get subjected to polygraph testing at work. And his loyalists persecute whistleblowers and people of conscience who are holding the line against illegal and unconstitutional activities."
