Cook County Board of Ethics will meet March 20

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

This meeting will be conducted in-person on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 69 W. Washington, 22nd Floor Collaborative Workspace 1, Chicago, IL 60602. To access this meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams, please visit: Board of Ethics Board Meetings & Members (cookcountyil.gov).

If you wish to make a public comment, please submit notice at https://forms.office.com/g/zkQgigxAQx by 9:00 A.M. on February 19, 2025.

Written comments will be read into the record at the beginning of the meeting.

Five minutes per comment will be allowed, though every effort will be made to read statements in their entirety. Authorized public speakers who are not present during the specified time for public testimony will forfeit their allotted time to speak at the meeting. Persons authorized to provide public testimony shall not use vulgar, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate language when addressing the Board.

Failure to act appropriately, failure to speak to an item that is germane to the meeting, or failure to adhere to the time requirements may result in expulsion from the meeting and/or disqualify the person from providing public testimony.

Open sessions of the Board meeting may be recorded by members of the public with advanced permission of the Executive Director and after giving proper notice of the intent to record to all persons attending to be recorded, consistent with Board Rule 3.12. 2 Speakers must submit a Notice of Public Statement in advance of making a presentation to the Board. All statements are limited to five minutes unless the Board extends a speaker’s time. The Board may shorten the time allotted for a speaker’s statement if the statement does not comport with Board Rule 3.10 (e.g., statements should not include personal attacks against members of the Board or support staff).
