The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) is set to host its Fourth Annual Airport Expo and Job Fair on May 1. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UIC Forum, located at 725 W. Roosevelt Road.
Mayor Brandon Johnson highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “As one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs, the City of Chicago creates unparalleled opportunities for job seekers and entrepreneurs alike.” He emphasized that the expo offers an invaluable opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers or expand their businesses at O’Hare and Midway International Airports.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from various companies seeking to fill positions across different experience levels. Some employers may even hire new employees during the event.
Entrepreneurs attending the expo can explore contracting opportunities at both airports and meet construction managers involved in future airport projects. Additionally, they can learn about Chicago's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and understand how certification benefits small businesses such as Disadvantaged Business-Owned Enterprises (DBEs), Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (VBEs), and Business Enterprises Owned by People with Disabilities (BEPDs).
