Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, representing Illinois's 3rd District, addressed several political issues through her recent Twitter posts. Ramirez, who has been a member of the U.S. Congress since 2023, expressed her stance on housing rights, criticized Republican leadership, and commented on administrative actions concerning utility assistance.

On April 2nd, Ramirez tweeted about housing rights, emphasizing the necessity of action to protect equal housing opportunities. She mentioned leading a letter with Representative Andre Carson and 51 other colleagues to urge the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Secretary Turner, to reinstate Fair Housing grants. "Fair and equal housing is a human right, and we must take action to protect it!" wrote Ramirez, voicing concern over cuts to essential housing programs.

Later on the same day, Ramirez addressed issues within the Republican party, characterizing recent events as chaotic. She specifically referenced actions by Speaker Johnson and commented on former President Trump's current influence. "What a week of Republican chaos… From Speaker Johnson throwing a tantrum to Trump continuing his dictator-like power grab." she noted, reflecting on the week's political developments.

On April 3rd, the Congresswoman criticized the administration's actions regarding the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). She highlighted discrepancies in the administration's policies, questioning their commitment to the "America first" ideology while simultaneously eliminating federal teams responsible for supporting LIHEAP. "The hypocrisy and dissonance of the Administration are outstanding... Through the other side of their mouth, they fire the ENTIRE federal team in charge of supporting LIHEAP," Ramirez noted, drawing attention to the implications for public assistance programs.
