Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez, who represents Illinois' 3rd district, recently shared her insights and opinions via social media on a variety of issues, ranging from Supreme Court decisions to immigration and local celebrations. Ramirez, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 and was previously a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, is a vocal advocate for immigration reform and community recognition.

On April 8, 2025, Ramirez tweeted about a recent Supreme Court decision affecting the Department of Homeland Security. She commented, "The conservative Supreme Court both allowed Trump and Noem to continue abusing the power of DHS to target people because of their place of origin, race, or ethnicity, and also affirmed that due process is not negotiable. The ruling only partially reflected my hoped-for outcome."

Later that same day, Ramirez addressed the economic contributions of immigrants. She mentioned that "Immigrants contribute to our economy and communities! In 2023, immigrants paid over $652 BILLION in taxes. Think of what would be possible if we brought 11 million people into full participation in our tax system through legal pathways and comprehensive immigration reform!" This statement highlights her push for broader immigration reform to incorporate more individuals into the U.S. tax system.

Finally, Ramirez celebrated a local milestone, recognizing Elmwood Park's anniversary. She tweeted, "Happy 111th anniversary to the Village of Elmwood Park! I was proud to honor the Village of Elmwood Park on the House Floor for their 111 years of community and to celebrate the 25,500 #IL03 constituents who call the Village home." This acknowledgment demonstrates her continued commitment to her local Illinois community.
