On April 14, 2025, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office tweeted about a recent arrest as part of the Sheriff's Police River North initiative. The post announced, "As part of the Sheriff’s Police River North initiative, Community Safety Team officers arrested 19-year-old Kelby Willis during a routine traffic stop near the 300 block of West Superior Street. Willis, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of a handgun with".

They expressed their goals through a social media post stating, "We hope to change lives, one 'Good Pack' at a time!Our goal is to equip every patrol vehicle with one or two of these bags containing essential supplies to support the unhoused individuals of Cook County. We are excited to collaborate with @GreaterGoodorg and Rescue Pack to".
