The Cook County Sheriff's Office recently took to social media to provide updates on their ongoing initiatives and expressions of gratitude. The news shared through these communications highlights the office's activities and dedication to community service.

On April 14, 2025, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office tweeted about a recent arrest as part of the Sheriff's Police River North initiative. The post announced, "As part of the Sheriff’s Police River North initiative, Community Safety Team officers arrested 19-year-old Kelby Willis during a routine traffic stop near the 300 block of West Superior Street. Willis, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of a handgun with".

Later in the day, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office took a moment to show appreciation for those in public safety communications. On April 14, 2025, they recognized the hard work of public safety telecommunicators by stating, "In recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we celebrate the true heroes behind the scenes! On April 15, 2025, the Sheriff's Office shared an initiative aimed at supporting the unhoused population in Cook County. They expressed their goals through a social media post stating, "We hope to change lives, one 'Good Pack' at a time!Our goal is to equip every patrol vehicle with one or two of these bags containing essential supplies to support the unhoused individuals of Cook County. We are excited to collaborate with @GreaterGoodorg and Rescue Pack to".
