On May 16, 2025, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office reported on a roadside safety checkpoint conducted by the Sheriff’s Police in Morton Grove. Officers focused on ensuring compliance with state laws concerning driver’s licenses, vehicle registration requirements, seat belts, and child restraint laws.
In another update dated May 17, 2025, the Sheriff's Office announced that their Fugitive Apprehension Unit, alongside the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, had arrested 28-year-old Jordan White. White was wanted in Cook County for failing to appear in court on March 20 for a felony charge.
