The Chicago Hounds secured a victory against the NOLA Gold with a score of 38-17 on Saturday night, advancing their record to 10-5 for the 2025 season. Chris Hilsenbeck was instrumental in the win, contributing eight points through four successful conversion kicks. The team's tries were scored by Oliver Devoto, Fakaosifolau Pifeleti, Peyton Wall, Dylan Fawsitt, Bryce Campbell, and Liam Fletcher.

NOLA Gold initially took the lead with a try in the 10th minute, converted by Luke Carty for a 7-0 advantage. Chicago faced challenges early on and remained scoreless for the first half-hour. However, Oliver Devoto broke through with Chicago's first try of the match, followed by a successful conversion from Hilsenbeck to equalize at 7-7. Shortly after, Oti Pifeleti scored his first try of the season with another conversion from Hilsenbeck, giving Chicago a seven-point lead at halftime.

In the second half, rookie Peyton Wall added to Chicago's tally with a try in the 47th minute. Dylan Fawsitt further extended their lead with his ninth try of the season following a strategic play involving winning a penalty and kicking for position.

NOLA Gold responded with Ed Fidow scoring in the 61st minute but failed to convert. Bryce Campbell then increased Chicago's lead before NOLA managed another try late in the game. In response, Liam Fletcher sealed Chicago's victory with his first career MLR try just before full-time.

Looking ahead, Chicago will face off against Houston Sabercats on Wednesday night at Dawg Town.
