A new community plaza is set to be developed in East Garfield Park after the City Council approved the sale of a quarter-acre of city land. The nonprofit Homan Housing LLC will purchase the land, which includes five lots located at Harrison Street and Homan Avenue, for $3,575. The combined value of these properties is $35,751.
The planned project, named Homan Gateway, will transform the vacant site into a public space with an estimated cost of $200,000.
