The Chicago Hounds have announced their 2025 End-of-Season awards, with flanker Mac Jones receiving significant recognition. Jones was honored with both the Player of the Year Award and the Players’ Player of the Year Award. The latter is determined by a vote among players and is regarded as a prestigious accolade.

Jones, who joined the Hounds for their inaugural game on February 18, 2023, has been a consistent performer over his three seasons in Chicago. He has made 49 appearances, including 46 starts. In 2025, he had an outstanding season, participating in all 16 games and playing over 1,100 minutes for the third consecutive year.

This season saw Jones become one of the team's top attacking threats, scoring nine tries for a total of 47 points. He also demonstrated defensive prowess by completing a career-high of 222 tackles.

The Hounds had previously secured Jones's commitment to the team through a two-year contract extension announced on July 3, 2024. This agreement ensures that he will remain with the club until at least the end of the 2026 MLR season.
