The Chicago Sky have released guard Moriah Jefferson, according to a statement from the team on July 28, 2025. Jefferson, who is 31 years old, joined the Sky in a midseason trade during the 2024 season.
During her time with Chicago, Jefferson played in 19 games and started once between 2024 and 2025. She recorded a total of 19 points, 33 assists, and 12 rebounds over 159 minutes. Her first start for the Sky came on July 16, 2025, when she posted seven points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Jefferson was originally selected as the second overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft and has played in 207 career games.
With this move, the Sky now have an open roster spot.
Chicago will face Washington on July 29 before returning home for four consecutive games from August 1 to August 7.
