Born August 3, 1925

Marv Levy was born in Chicago on August 3, 1925. He graduated from South Shore High School in the city. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He earned a degree from Coe College, then a master's from Harvard. Levy began coaching in college, working at several schools. He moved to the NFL, becoming head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and later the Buffalo Bills. He led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances from 1990 to 1993. He was known for strategy and leadership. Levy also served as the Bills' general manager after retiring as coach. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. His Chicago roots remained a part of his early story. He turned 98 in 2023.

James Francis Keane, born August 8, 1934 in Chicago
