Chicago Fire FC has obtained a 2025 international roster slot from Toronto FC. In return, Chicago Fire FC will send $100,000 in General Allocation Money for the year 2026 to Toronto.

The club confirmed the transaction on August 22, 2025. The move allows Chicago Fire FC to add another international player to its roster for the upcoming season.

"Transaction: Chicago Fire FC acquires 2025 International Roster Slot from Toronto FC in exchange for $100,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM)."
