Chicago Fire FC's Joel Waterman called up to Canada Men's National Team for September friendlies

Chicago Fire FC defender Joel Waterman has been selected to join the Canada Men’s National Team for two friendly matches in September. The team will play against Romania on September 5 at Arena Națională in Bucharest, and then face Wales on September 9 at Swansea.com Stadium in Swansea.

Waterman has represented Canada internationally, earning 10 caps with the senior men’s national team. His previous experience includes appearances in friendlies and Concacaf Nations League matches. He was also part of Canada’s squads for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, the 2024 Copa America, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
