Chicago Fire FC player Dylan Borso has been called up to the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team for a domestic training camp scheduled from September 1 to 9 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Borso replaces Mykhi Joyner on the camp roster.
Borso will join coach Rob Valentino and 22 other players born in 2006 as part of a program by the U.S. Soccer Federation focused on developing young talent through its Youth National Teams. The initiative aims to give more opportunities for youth players to progress toward the senior National Team and potentially compete at world championships. During this period, other youth squads, including the U-19 and U-17 teams, will train in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Borso became the 25th Homegrown Player in Chicago Fire FC history in December 2024 and is the 11th such signing since January 2020. He joined the club’s academy in 2017 and has played at every level from U-13 through U-19, as well as for Chicago Fire II in MLS NEXT Pro.
Since his debut with Chicago Fire II in 2023 at age 17, Borso has appeared in 27 matches. In the current year, he has participated in 19 games (14 starts), scored three goals, and recorded one assist.
