Chicago Fire FC II midfielder Chase Nagle has been named MLS NEXT Rising Star of Matchweek 25, following his performance in a 2-2 draw and shootout victory against New England Revolution II on August 31. The announcement was made by Chicago Fire FC II and MLS NEXT Pro.

Nagle, who is 16 years old, received this recognition after playing the full match at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. In the 22nd minute, he worked with teammate Jhoiner Montiel to score the opening goal—his first in MLS NEXT Pro—which contributed to the team's result and subsequent shootout win that secured an extra point.

This marks the third time this season a Chicago Fire Academy player has earned the Rising Star honor. Goalkeepers David Molenda and Patrick Los were previously recognized for their performances earlier in the year. Molenda was named Rising Star in Matchweek 23 after a seven-save shutout during a 2-0 win over Philadelphia Union II on July 15. Los received the award for Matchweek 17 after achieving his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory at Chattanooga FC on July 5.

Chicago Fire FC II will begin a two-game homestand with a match against FC Cincinnati 2 on Wednesday, September 10 at SeatGeek Stadium. The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. CT and will be free to attend and available for viewing on MLSNEXTPro.com.
