Later that day, the Sheriff's Office highlighted the importance of mental health awareness during Suicide Prevention Month. In a tweet dated September 1, 2025, they wrote: "September is recognized as Suicide Prevention Month. It is the goal of the Cook County Sheriff's Office to ensure individuals, families, and friends have access to resources they need to discuss suicide prevention and to seek help. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7,". The mention of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline refers to a nationwide resource offering round-the-clock support for those experiencing mental health crises or suicidal thoughts.

On September 2, 2025, the office reported participating in a ceremony honoring fallen Chicago Police Officer Ella French. According to their post: "We were honored to stand alongside fallen Chicago Police Officer Ella French’s family and her Chicago Police Department colleagues as the street in front of the Leighton Criminal Courthouse was renamed in her memory and a statue in her likeness was unveiled at Wentworth Park." This event commemorated Officer French's service by renaming a street near the courthouse and unveiling a statue at Wentworth Park.
