Chicago Fire FC defender Joel Waterman has been selected to join the Canada Men’s National Team for a series of international friendlies in October. The team is scheduled to play against Australia on October 10 at Stade Saputo in Montréal, followed by a match against Colombia on October 14 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey.
Waterman, who became part of Chicago Fire FC in August 2025, has started three matches and scored one goal since joining the club. His international experience includes 11 appearances for Canada, where he has participated in friendlies and CONCACAF Nations League matches. He was also included in Canada’s squads for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the 2024 Copa America, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
