Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady has been named to the 2025 22 Under 22 list, marking his third consecutive year on the roster. The list, which highlights top Major League Soccer players under the age of 22, was announced by the league. Brady achieved his highest ranking so far at No. 11 and is the only goalkeeper recognized this year.

Players were selected for the 22 Under 22 class by a panel that included MLS coaches, general managers, sporting directors, MLS Season Pass talent, and select media. This year's list features 14 Homegrown players, with eight of the top ten having come through MLS academies.

Brady, age 21, is in his third season as starting goalkeeper for Chicago Fire FC. In 2025, he made 27 appearances—all as starts—and recorded six shutouts. His performance led to three call-ups to the U.S. Men’s National Team, including a spot on the roster for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

He is now the fourth goalkeeper in club history to reach at least 50 career starts with Chicago Fire FC, joining Jon Busch, Sean Johnson, and Zach Thornton. Since signing his first professional contract at age 16 as one of five Homegrown Players promoted from the Chicago Fire Academy in 2020, Brady has played in 91 regular season matches (all starts) over three seasons. With 29 wins, he ranks third in club history for wins as a goalkeeper, trailing Sean Johnson (58) and Zach Thornton (109).

Chicago Fire FC will have a week off due to FIFA's October international window before playing New England Revolution on Decision Day 2025. The match is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18 at 5:00 p.m. CT and will be available globally on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV. Local radio broadcasts will air on WLS 890 AM (English) and Que Buena Fire via the Uforia App (Spanish).

The team is set to make its first postseason appearance since 2017 after Decision Day. Fans interested in playoff tickets can text "PLAYOFFS" to 24258 for an exclusive subscriber presale opportunity.
